2018 Crystal Globe Awards Banquet
Hughes Springs Chamber of Commerce held their annual Crystal Globe Awards Banquet, Saturday, January 27 at the Legacy. This year’s theme was “All the World’s a Stage” and comedian Todd Justice entertained the audience, as well as Matt Nichols and Mandy Gammill from the Community Theatre of East Texas. Tammy and Marshall Mashaw of Taste This Catering provided the dinner of Pork Chops, Chicken, Roasted Red Potatoes. Green beans, salad, and rolls, with Brownie ala Mode for desert. The winners of Crystal Globes are: Sesame Club, Libby Bruce; Hughes Springs Retired School Employees, Deanna Putman; Hughes Springs Volunteer Fire Department, Randy Jones; Hughes Springs Elementary School, Jennifer Pearson; Hughes Springs Junior High; Caryn Watson, Hughes Springs High School, Wayne Mosley; Gemeta Castle Award, Sha’Traven Ransom; Spirit of Beauty Award, Jovito Hernandez; Hughes Springs/Daingerfield Lion’s Club Service Award, John Pease; Citizen of the Year, Autumn Walker; Business of the Year, Humphrey Air Conditioning; Lifetime Achievement Award, Jim Sinkule. Congratulations to all the winners!
